STEAM Sports Foundation Scholarships
About the Program
To date, STEAM Sports Foundation has awarded 26 scholarships ranging from $5,000 - $10,000 to deserving underrepresented female college and technical school students throughout the U.S.. Grants include those with disabilities as well. The foundation receives several hundred inquiries and applications per year before determining a group of finalists from which selections are made. The selection committee focuses primarily on rising juniors and seniors.
Scholarship Requirements
Scholarship recipients all must demonstrate interest and activity toward an engineering career in motorsports or the automotive industry. Preferred majors include mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, data analytics, physics and math. Internships and interest in motorsports and technical innovations that include development of electric and autonomous vehicles are given priority.

The STEAM Sports Foundation is dedicated to building a strong, inclusive, and sustainable workforce development pipeline for the motorsports and automotive industries by empowering underrepresented students through STEAM education, professional development, mentorship, and career-focused opportunities. Our mission is to increase representation and create equitable access to high-growth careers in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics within the automotive and motorsports sectors.
Through our four core pillars - Scholarships, Immersion Tours, Internships, and Summits - the Foundation provides students and emerging professionals with the resources, exposure, and industry connections needed to thrive in competitive STEAM and motorsports careers.
Our purpose is to establish a strong and inclusive career development path for the motorsports and automotive industry by focusing on underrepresented students with STEAM-based backgrounds and providing them with targeted training and opportunities.
Process
1. Register
Click on the "Register" link and complete and submit the registration form.
2. Login
Log in to the STEAM Sports Foundation Scholarship System with your email and password.
3. Create
Create your online application.
4. Save
During the Call for Applications period, your application can be saved as DRAFT until all the required information is completed and attachments uploaded. As each section is complete, you will see a 
appear in the category tab when the application is saved. At any time, you can download and print your application by clicking on the 
icon in the Application Summary section.
5. Submit
On completion, save your Application as FINAL. Download and print a copy of your application for your records by clicking on the icon in the Application Summary section in the right column. Note: If an update is required prior to the Call for Applications period ends, you can make the update and resave as FINAL.
